Inner Child Inspirational quote of the day.

July 29th, 2010 11 Comments » Filed under Inner Child Quote

“A quality education has the power to transform societies in a single generation, provide children with the protection they need from the hazards of poverty, labor exploitation and disease, and given them the knowledge, skills, and confidence to reach their full potential.”

~Audrey Hepburn~

Today, my friend, I want to envision this quote as the blueprint of the new world. Today I want to stop and create the image of a future world where every child’s full potential will be the priority. A world where no child will grow to become violent because his very entitled needs were not met. A world of peace where your Inner Child will become your partner at thriving and blossoming into the gorgeous flower you are. A world where your passion to contribute is important.

If a little dreaming is dangerous, the cure for it is not to dream less but to dream more, to dream all the time.

~Marcel Proust~

We all have the obligation to go back to reinventing out capacity to dream.  Nurturing our imagination as we did when we were kids. It is in that sacred place where our connection to divinity was broken where we can find ourselves again. Giving birth to that Inner Child that was induced to keep silence and not allowed to dream.

Do not wait for leaders; do it alone, person to person.

~Mother Teresa ~

And guess what! That is what your Inner Child is craving for. That moment that you decide to honor those dreams he/she secretly entertains. Those dreams that speak of your enormous value and your needed contribution in the world. Those dreams that are ready to burst out and splash the world with your brilliance, those dreams that speak about cooperation and unity, not separation and competition. You, the millennial generation know that.

Inner Child Inspirational quote of the day.

I believe that you control your destiny, that you can be what you want to be. You can also stop and say, No, I won’t do it, I won’t behave his way anymore. I’m lonely and I need people around me, maybe I have to change my methods of behaving and then you do it.

~Leo Buscaglia ~

This is the key moment of enlightenment and self acceptance. The moment we choose ourselves and give birth to our new behaviors, inherent to our source and purpose, the ones that are only pertinent to us, over the ones we couldn’t help but inherit from our parents and society as a whole. The only power we have is to change our perceptions, since changing others belongs with their personal task, not ours.

Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.

Albert Einstein

It is time for us to awaken our own underrated asset of imagination, inherent to all of us and truncated along the way. To start imagining again, we need the help of our Inner Child. A happy and satisfied Inner Child will start imagining again embracing the entire world and all there ever will be to know and understand. This world needs  serious reinvention, and many imaginative people to collectively recreate the vision of the future we want to co-create.

Yes, Mother. I can see you are flawed. You have not hidden it. That is your greatest gift to me.

~Alice Walker~

I often say that spirituality can be expressed in two words. “Self acceptance”. Accepting your humanity. When we humbly accept our flaws and share them, we are actually headed to change them, not only that, but the peace you are longing for, starts with self acceptance.

Alice is right. It is the best gift. Besides, we are who we are because of our parents actions, and they are who they are because of their parents actions before them. If we want to see any change in the world, we have to start looking at our humanity without judgment. To judge who we are is irrational. Each generation has the responsibility to stop passing judgment to the next. No change can be attained by pretending we are perfect and we know it all. The worst part, it divides us inside.

Inner Child Inspirational quote of the day

If a child is to keep alive his inborn sense of wonder without any such gift from the fairies, he needs the companionship of at least one adult who can share it, rediscovering with him the joy, excitement, and mystery of the world we live in.

Rachel Carson

That is the question, the sacred child inborn sense of wonder. The source of the child’s creativity. The reality is that specifically that god given right is almost impossible to maintain alive in a civilization that shows no intrinsic respect for the that source at the individual level. Now, how do we go around it without being victimized by it. How we recover that sense of wonder as adults. The beauty is that that sense of wonder and creativity was experienced by your Inner Child. Albert Einstein says “Knowledge is only experience”. All you have to do is tap into that experienced memory and remember how it felt. And yes, in order to do it you need somebody who believes in you more than yourself.
