Inner Child Inspirational quote of the day

If a child is to keep alive his inborn sense of wonder without any such gift from the fairies, he needs the companionship of at least one adult who can share it, rediscovering with him the joy, excitement, and mystery of the world we live in.

Rachel Carson

That is the question, the sacred child inborn sense of wonder. The source of the child’s creativity. The reality is that specifically that god given right is almost impossible to maintain alive in a civilization that shows no intrinsic respect for the that source at the individual level. Now, how do we go around it without being victimized by it. How we recover that sense of wonder as adults. The beauty is that that sense of wonder and creativity was experienced by your Inner Child. Albert Einstein says “Knowledge is only experience”. All you have to do is tap into that experienced memory and remember how it felt. And yes, in order to do it you need somebody who believes in you more than yourself.

Nothing that is worth knowing can be taught.

~Oscar Wilde ~

Why? Because you already know it. For instance, creativity, so vital for the human spirit,  can be awakened,  guided,  inspired. Never taught.  In other words is about  working  out a muscle that is in atrophy.  Because somehow the message  you have received is such that  you don’t know you know.  Furthermore,  you don’t believe you know.  I invite  you today to start exercising the muscle of belief. Believing that you actually know.

We must view young people not as empty bottles to be filled, but as candles to be lit.

~Robert H. Shaffer ~

Yes, I love that image. To lite their potential. The same way we need to do with ourselves. Light the candle inside of us. Light the candle of the source of creativity, big picture thinking, and community collaboration. You sure find them in your own relationship with your Inner Child.

Albert Einstein on patriotism

Each war is different, each war is the same

He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would fully suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, senseless brutality, and all the loathsome nonsense that goes by the name of patriotism, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be part of so base an action! It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder.

~Albert Einstein ~

Children are educated by what the grown-up is and not by his talk.

Children are educated by what the grown-up is and not by his talk.

~Carl Jung ~

Now this quote is a vital one to understand. We learn by our parents actions and we become who we are because of that. The Spanish philosopher Ortega y Gasset says we are the product of our circumstances. Think about it. If we can’t help our circumstances, why are we demanded to be some foreign interpretation of who you should be. We all pass our behaviors to the next generation, actually doing the best we can with what we have. Is our responsibility as spiritual beings in a physical body to stop, evaluate and decide what do you want to pass to the next generation. By understanding that fundamental truth and taking responsibility for your life because it is only you who can do that, stepping out of your circumstance, and the actions of your parents. What is it that you want to start modeling from today on?

I brought children into this dark world because it needed the light that only a child can bring.

~Liz Armbruster, on robertbrault.com~
And please don’t forget you also were a child brought to this dark world, bringing the needed light until you forgot your mission. Keep pumping light in this dark world, with your creativity, your critical thinking and your community collaboration spirit.

The day that we decide as Earth inhabitants to dedicate the adequate resources to make sure each and every child on the planet is raised to be fully acknowledged satisfied and happy instead of dedicating them to multiple wars, will be the day we will eradicate violence for good from the face of the globe.

.~ Luz Aguirrebena~

Alice Miller quotes: “Violence is not genetic”. Behind every violent act, there is an unhappy or unsatisfied Inner Child.

“The child must know that he is a miracle, that since the beginning of the world there hasn’t been, and until the end of the world there will not be, another child like him.”

~Pablo Casals~

…And that child is still there inside your adult body. Waiting for you to believe she/he is a real miracle, that kind of miracle that never was and never will be before.

“It is necessary to own and honor the child who we were in order to Love the person we are. And the only way to do that is to own that child’s experiences, honor that child’s feelings, and release the emotional grief energy that we are still carrying around.”
~Robert Burney~

I couldn’t have said it better.  Your Inner Child craves  achieving emotional integrity.

It is paradoxical that many educators and parents still differentiate between a time for learning and a time for play without seeing the vital connection between them.
~Leo Buscaglia~

Did you ever feel guilty because you were playing or  wanted to play while you are working? You are not alone.  Here is another place where the collective mindset is mistaken.  What is the problem. Play and work are not divorced from each other.

They can beautifully collaborate and yes yes, make you happier and more productive.  As Leo says, there is a vital connection between them. This is why my proposition is to bring the playful child to the business world. It is about time to associate the dissociated inside and out.

It is time to bring the authenticity and creativity of the child to the business world. Because the seriousness and stuffiness is not really sustainable as we are seeing the corporate reality unfold. It lacks genuine feeling and acting. I don’t know about you, but sometimes seems like people in those environments are behaving like  children pretending to be adults, and I include myself at the time I participated in the corporate world. :)
