Inner Child Inspirational quote of the day.

July 7th, 2010 4 Comments » Filed under Inner Child Quote

You are worried about seeing him spend his early years in doing nothing.  What!  Is it nothing to be happy?  Nothing to skip, play, and run around all day long?  Never in his life will he be so busy again.

~Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Emile, 1762~
Think about it. this was in 1762. How many times  since then as a species we took away from children the right to play and run all day long?

Did we consider it was just a childhood need to be  sacredly honored? It didn’t have the value that work had. With that thinking before you know you have societies who are separating joy with work. My question is why not joy and play at work? It would be much more creative and productive.
