An interesting article indeed. Maybe one of the few times that truth and sales can be found in the same sentence.

Exactly, self responsibility the beauty of self responsibility is that it takes blame out of the equation and as a domino effect neutralizes guilt. There is no use for guilt without blame. It's almost like a mathematic formula. I love the connection between metaphysics and mathematics. And blame was invented to prevent us from owning the responsibility.Like a vicious circle.
Guilt, the useless commodity.

Thanks Jenny, it was great spending time with you guys and the kids.

Acknowledgement is a very powerful tool, in anyone's toolbox. In fact, it is almost necessary in order to function in life. But what really takes the cake is owning the responsibility. If you can look at your life--and it's riddled with mistakes, of course!--and say "Yeah, I did those things. I did do some things wrong and I have to OWN those mistakes..." Then not only have you acknowledged yourself and others, but you've also freed yourself of the chains that bind you to guilt. I've seen so many people suffer for so long because of that ugly companion--guilt.

Am so happy this morning to read about rocks in the road. As I now live in the Rocky Mountains, rocks infuse my every day. Obstacles are one of the things you can count on, like gravity or taxes. I always feel that the rock in the road gives you some time to reflect on your chosen course of action, a comma in the action, the stop in time. It's my contention that most things that seem frustrating and hard are the things you need to learn and incorporate.
I'm nearly through, but one more thing about obstacles. We live in a world of false urgency, where it seems we must do every thing as fast as possible. I find the rock in the road gives me a chance to perceive my urgency differently. Like doing plumbing, sometimes I hit a wall and the only way to make progress is to go sit down and have a tea. When I return to the task, it all flows much better for taking a break. I wish you all a nice break when the rock pops up. Sharon

I love it!! Its crucial don't forget that during the process we can not speed the time!!
Luz, you are performing a magical piece. Rocks in your way means to STOP, and introduce C=Courage, F=Faith and S=Self (I love that formula)...C+F+S=A to Z. Nicely Done...You always come up with a fantastic mathematic formula in our lives!!!

Exactly Sharon, whether is a Hispanic nanny a neighbor, a mother's friend or a relative, or the mailman, it actually makes the difference. It's what Alice Miller calls "Enlightened Witnesses".

I read "A Little Persons Voice", and thank you to the writer.

I did not have the same wound as a child, but it's irrelevant because we all have the same pain. What interests me this morning, is the necessity of people outside our families who we can access for understanding etc. We all have families that are difficult in one way or other, mine certainly was for me. The capacity to find the compassion and nourishment we need is a life skill in itself.

I was very good at getting myself adopted by families, I had families who fed me, I found homes with kindness as the foundation of all interaction, I found Mothers who were affectionate and stern, and many plain women who just cared about any child who walked in the door. I honestly think these fine humans saved me many times.

It's not that my family did not love me, they just did not have the things I needed at the time I needed them. I just wanted to say, if you know a child and they are in your environment, just make that little effort to be kind to them. You never know when you might be saving someone's life with a kind word, or a sandwich.
